Ranked #2 of 10

GOG review · Top 10 place 2

Download store

A CD Projekt store known for selling games without DRM and reviving older classics.

Verdict

GOG stands out for ownership: once a game is bought, the installer can be downloaded and kept without a launcher check. That makes it the best pick for players who care about long-term access, while its catalogue of new releases is narrower than the market leader's.

Best for: Keeping offline installers you control

What works

Purchases come as DRM-free offline installers
The Galaxy client is optional rather than required
Strong focus on restoring older PC games

What to weigh up

Smaller new-release selection than the largest stores
Linux support depends on each game
